Marketing Training for Software & SaaS Directors

You already know classic marketing frameworks. What you need now is how they play out in Software & SaaS: how ARR, NRR and CAC payback shape every decision, why product-led growth changes the marketing function, what the App Store and cloud marketplace players actually control, and how data privacy rules touch your campaigns. This track covers those foundations along with the players, the regulation and the figures that define the sector today.

On top of the core marketing curriculum, you get interactive tools to model pricing and funnel scenarios, an action playbook to apply straight to your roadmap, and an assessment built specifically for SaaS marketing leaders. You'll walk away with sharper positioning, a clearer view of your metrics, and arguments that hold up in front of your CEO or your board.

Frequently asked questions

Who is this SaaS marketing track designed for?

It targets marketing directors and CMOs working in software and SaaS companies, whether they arrived from another sector or grew inside the industry. The assumption is that you already know classic marketing frameworks and need the SaaS-specific layer: ARR, NRR, CAC payback, product-led growth, app stores and cloud marketplaces. Product marketers and growth leads who report to a CMO get value from the same material.

What does a SaaS-specific marketing track add compared to general marketing training?

The frameworks are the same; the constraints are not. In SaaS, revenue is recurring, so retention and NRR weigh as much as acquisition, CAC payback sets how aggressively you can spend, and part of your distribution runs through platforms you don't control (App Store, cloud marketplaces). This track works through those mechanics, plus the sector's main players, its regulation and its current figures, instead of leaving you to translate generic examples.

Is access free, and does the track lead to a diploma?

Reading the lessons is free and open, and no diploma or state-recognized certification is issued. Creating an account only serves to save your progress across lessons, tools and the assessment. If you need a credential for an HR file, this is not the right place.

Do I need a finance background to work with ARR, NRR and CAC payback?

No. These metrics are built up from their definition, then connected to marketing decisions: what NRR says about your expansion motion, how CAC payback caps your acquisition spend, why ARR growth alone hides churn problems. The goal is to argue your budget in front of a CEO or a board, not to build the financial model yourself.

What does product-led growth actually change for the marketing function?

It moves part of the conversion job from the marketing team to the product itself: the free trial, the onboarding and the in-product signals do work that a sales-led motion assigns to campaigns and SDRs. Marketing shifts toward activation, self-serve funnel design and expansion inside existing accounts. The track covers how this reshapes ownership, metrics and the relationship with product teams.

Beyond the lessons, what tools and exercises come with the track?

Three additions sit on top of the marketing curriculum: interactive tools to model pricing and funnel scenarios, an action playbook meant to be applied directly to your roadmap, and an assessment written for SaaS marketing leaders rather than for marketers in general. The lessons also cover the sector's players, the data privacy rules that constrain campaigns, and what App Store and cloud marketplace operators actually control.
